FAQ

Q. How far ahead of time should I make my appointment?

A. In order to book your desired time and day, we advise that you schedule your appointment at least one week in advanced.

Q. What if I need to cancel or reschedule my appointment?

A. We kindly ask that you give as much notice as possible. Due to our 24 hour cancellation notice policy, a credit card number will be required when booking appointments. We understand that unexpected things do happen and sometimes it is impossible to keep an appointment. If on the day of your appointment you are unable to make it, please call us to reschedule your appointment for a $30 fee. Otherwise, your account will be charged 100%.

Q. Do I have a choice between a male or female therapist?

A. Both therapist are equally licensed professionals. While it's not guaranteed, please specify your preference at the time of scheduling and we will make every effort to accommodate your request.

Q. How soon should I arrive before my appointment?

A. We advise coming no earlier than ten minutes prior to your scheduled appointment. If you would like to come early to relax or read on the couch, (we know sometimes a getaway is needed) please do so quietly but understand that we may not be able to accommodate your early arrival by seeing you sooner.

Q. How much time should I allot for my session?

A. For parking and planning purposes, we recommend planning to spend an additional 15 minutes in time transitioning on and off the table. We aim to provide you with your full service time beginning when you lay on the table, given that you arrive on time. This means if you have a 60 minute session and need to pay for parking, please consider paying for 75min of parking just to be safe.

Q. Should I tip my therapist?

A. It is estimated that around 50% of our clientele tip. While tipping isn't necessary, it is appreciated but never expected.

Q. How should I pay for my appointment?

A. All appointments are secured with a credit card number at the time of scheduling. You may chose to pay with cash, check, or card upon your arrival.

Q. What are the side affects of massage and neuromuscular therapy?

A. Occasionally you may experience soreness, redness, and possibly even bruising in some cases. These are normal side effects and every precaution necessary is taken to ensure this doesn't happen, even though at times it can be unavoidable. We strongly encourage every client to clearly communicate changes in comfort levels at all times during the session.

Q. How should I prepare for my appointment?

A. We feel it is best to arrive clean and hydrated, wearing comfortable clothing. If you need to freshen up before your session, let us know prior to your appointment so that we may provide cool or warm aromatherapy towels.

Q. Can I make an appointment for my child under the age of 18?

A. Certainly but please keep in mind that South Carolina State Law says that a minor's parent must be present in the treatment room for the whole duration of the treatment.

Q. How far dressed down do I have to get?

A. Upon exiting the room, your therapist will advise you to undress to your comfort level. For most people, this means completely nude. For others, it means leaving under garments or athletic shorts on. For glute, low back, or hamstring pain you may be advised to leave those areas accessible. Professional draping is performed throughout the duration of the entire session, no matter what, to protect your modesty and privacy. We are trained to ensure your comfort and privacy through out the entire session.
